Leeds Law Group

About

Our mission

Leeds Law Group connects CU Boulder students with legal professionals, educational opportunities, and practical exposure to the legal field — whatever stage of the path into law they're on.

How we started

Leeds Law Group was founded by Laird Whitelaw, a Finance and Accounting student at the Leeds School of Business, to give business students a real way into the legal profession — one built on mentorship and hands-on experience rather than guesswork.

What we value

Access

We put students in the room with practicing attorneys, alumni, and legal educators — not just career fair booths.

Preparation

From LSAT strategy to law school applications, we help members build a genuine, well-informed path into the legal field.

Community

Leeds Law Group is a small, close-knit board and membership working toward the same goal: getting students into law.

Strategic guidance

Erik Estrada, J.D., M.P.A., LL.M. — a partner at Sector Law and CU Boulder professor — serves as our Strategic Mentor, offering insight into the intersection of business and law.
